On August 12-15, 2023, a voice recording of the physicist, engineer, and inventor, Nikola Tesla, was distributed on social media (1, 2, 3). According to the authors of the post, Tesla says in the video that free energy was hidden from the world by the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and the Kabbalah in order to get rich and enslave people.
The description of the video shared on the social network does not correspond to its content. In the video, the person repeating Nikola Tesla’s quote does not mention the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, or the Kabbalah at all. Also, the report that Tesla accuses the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and the cabal of hiding free energy and enslaving people is not confirmed by open sources either.
The phrases presented in the video disseminated on Facebook belong to Nikola Tesla and can be found on many websites and books (1, 2) on the Internet, although he never mentions the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, and the Kabbalah in these quotes at all, and therefore does not accuse them of hiding free energy.

Nikola Tesla tried to create a generator that would work without fuel. The inventor himself claimed that he was able to generate energy from a new energy source several times, although he was not always clear about the technology behind his achievements.
On November 1, 1933, an article was published in the New York American entitled “A Device for Capturing Cosmic Energy.” The article stated that this new source of energy would be derived from cosmic energy, the main source of which is the sun, and which is available everywhere without limit. These two articles describe Tesla’s efforts to solve the “energy problem” he was facing. Although he was responsible for expanding the use of electricity, Tesla also felt a strong need to preserve coal reserves for future generations.
Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856, in the village of Smiljan (modern Croatia) of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in a Serbian family. Tesla studied at the Faculty of Engineering at the Technical University of Graz, later, he continued his studies at the University of Prague. From 1882, Tesla made the first sketches of rotating electromagnets in a motor and discovered a rotating magnetic field, which laid the foundation for alternating current devices. At the same time, Tesla went to work for the Continental Edison Company in Paris, and in 1883, he created his first induction motor. In 1884, Tesla went to New York to work as an engineer at Thomas Edison’s company. Tesla and Edison had different ideas and goals from each other, so their paths soon diverged.
Edison favored direct current (DC) and also made Tesla work on the optimization of direct current, while Tesla thought that alternating current (AC) would be technologically more sophisticated and potentially more successful. With this confrontation, the “current war” began, which ended with the victory of the industrialist and inventor George Westinghouse and Tesla. A hydroelectric plant built at Niagara Falls was able to provide alternating current to the city of Buffalo, and it was proven that alternating current was much more efficient.
Notably, there is no widely known or documented statement by Nikola Tesla about the Rothschild or Rockefeller families. Any mention of Kabbalah by Tesla is not found in the open sources either. The inventor focused primarily on his scientific and technological work and is best known for his contributions to the development of alternating current (AC) electrical systems, wireless communication, and other inventions.
During the time that Nikola Tesla was working with Thomas Edison, the Rothschild and Rockefeller families were engaged in various business activities and philanthropy.
The Rothschild family of Jewish origin created one of the largest and most successful banking and financial networks in Europe in the 18th century. It is also worth noting that the banking dynasty of the Rothschilds became the target of anti-Semitic conspiracies in Europe due to their quick enrichment, gaining significant power, and, first of all, their Jewish origin. The Rockefeller family, headed by John D. Rockefeller, was involved in the oil industry. At the end of the 19th century, John Rockefeller founded the Standard Oil Company, which became one of the largest and most powerful oil companies in the world.
It is important to note that Tesla’s activities and ventures were mainly related to the field of science and technology, and his relationship with these families, if any, would have been indirect or incidental.
