On September 21, 2023, Facebook page EU news published the post featuring the visual of Mark Zuckerberg, where he invites everyone to earn 500 USD per day, claiming that anyone can earn money by just registering on the given website. The post features Zuckerberg’s video with his family and the logo of META. As of October 4, Facebook page is no longer available.

On September 10, 2023, another Facebook page of the same name published a video depicting Elon Musk. According to the video, the government tries to “remove” Elon Musk because of his income platform, which allows an ordinary person to earn 12.000 EUR in a month. The post claims that the program works completely automatically, access to the project is legal and one simply needs to register on the platform to start earning money.

Furthermore, the ad library of the EU News Facebook page shows that the page is advertising Elon Musk’s videos.

Both pages of EU news and the posts shared bear the explicit signs of online fraud. Besides, there is no official call or statement related to the mentioned post on the original website of EuroNews and Meta platforms. Besides, the authentic content of the videos of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg do not urge people to start earning money.

  • EU news is a fraudulent page and publishes Mark Zuckerberg’s video with false voiceover

The speech attributed to Mark Zuckerberg in the video is fabricated, and the authentic video is about Jarvis, an artificial intelligence system created to control Mark’s mansion. In a video published by Zuckerberg himself on his official account, we can see the relationship he maintains with his virtual friend.

The link provided in the comment section of the post in the name of Mark Zuckerberg and the Meta platform redirects the user to a fraudulent website – f-ted.amaxonn.info. The website features the logo of Meta, and Mark’s photo, as well as information about how to use the “program”, advantages, and registration.  Additionally, there is an “About Project” section on the interface. There is no contact information on the website.

The “About Project” section consists of information about the working structure of the “program” and the ensured insurance of money of users by Meta and Mark Zuckerberg.

  • EU News is a fraudulent page and it publishes Elon Musk’s video with the wrong voiceover

Another fraudulent page on behalf of  Euronews was found, which positions itself under the same name as EU News, the only difference is the use of a capital N in the first letter of News. EU News publishes a video of Elon Musk with the wrong voiceover. In the original version of the video, Elon Musk talks about the early days of Tesla, memes, the importance of electric vehicles, etc. In the comment section of the post, the website tan-pro.gentaxe.info is indicated, where users are encouraged to register. The website doesn’t have an About section and only photo and video of Elon Musk is posted. There is a registration form on the same page, which gives the impression that the website aims to collect personal data.
