On August 17, 2016, an article with the following title was published on Georgia and World website: “A youngster eaten by an alligator during an attempt to rape another”. According to the material, 24-year Jimmy Olsen was eaten by an adult alligator during an attempt to rape a newborn alligator.
Lie #1. The material has been invented by a comic edition
“Georgia and World” published the material, initially published by a comic edition World News Daily Report, as a real piece of news. “All characters appearing in the articles in this website – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any persons, living, dead, or undead is purely a miracle” – according to the webpage of the edition.
Lie #2. It is Gavin Hart on the photo, not Jimmy Olsen
World News Daily Report took a photo of another person – taken in Spain, in Torremolinos Crocodile Park – as an illustration to its article. The person pictured is not Jimmy Olsen, but a Scottish Gavin Hart which works in the park.
Lie #3. There is a crocodile on the photo, not an alligator
The animal depicted on the photo is a crocodile, not an alligator. It is considered the biggest crocodile in Europe and is referred to as “Big Daddy”. Gavin Hart’s interview about the crocodile is available on this link.
Lie #4. Jimmy Olsen is a comics character
As for Jimmy Olsen, this name belongs to a friend of Superman, a hero of famous comics, that works for Daily Planet as a photo reporter in Metropolis.
