On June 29, Facebook user Shore Shanidze published a photo of a man and noted in her post that Tbilisi Transport Company employee Giorgi Alashvili, aged 49, died a few hours after receiving the second dose of Sinopharm vaccine. Shore Shanidze refers to Facebook user TorNike Mrevlishvili as a source, however, his post can no longer be found at the moment.

;
Shore Shanidze’s post is disinformation. Giorgi Alashvili’s son denied the aforesaid information via a Facebook post. He wrote that the cause of Giorgi Alashvili’s death was a heart attack and not a vaccine. Anzor Alashvili also wrote that Giorgi Alashvili received the Sinopharm vaccine a week before his death.

Information disseminated by Shore Shanidze is false. The authenticity of claims in her post was denied by Giorgi Alashvili’s son, Anzor Alashvili. He published a Facebook post stating that his father had suffered a heart attack and passed away after it reoccurred. Anzor Alashvili also wrote that a week before his death, Goga Alashvili voluntarily received Sinopharm vaccine together with family members.
