On July 12, 2023, the Facebook account “Morganne C Samaya” published a video with the following description: “Secret footage from the US Army has been leaked. Georgian boys, stay away from the army! Protect your family! Your country is your family.” The video shows soldiers being inoculated with several needles, two of them passing out. The footage is accompanied by the voice of the author of the post, where she mentions that this is happening in the American army, vaccinations cause damage to their health, and the soldiers are treated inhumanely there.

The post, according to which American soldiers get sick from vaccinations, contains elements of video manipulation. In the original video, it can be seen that one of the recruits is unwell after the blood test procedure before the injection, and the other becomes ill at the moment of the injection, which may have been caused by a reaction to the sting of the needle. In addition, it should be noted that the soldier seen in the video is currently enlisted in the US Air Force and is doing well.

Despite the author’s assertion, the mentioned video is not secret footage, in fact, it was published on YouTube and Facebook pages in November 2021 by the US Air Force Recruiting Service itself. The footage was shot in 2019 and is part of an 8-part documentary that chronicles the recruits’ initial, basic military training. The shared video is the third part of the documentary. It should be noted that some of the frames in the manipulatively distributed video clips are shifted. In contrast, the original video shows that the young woman who can’t help herself and slams into the door has only had a blood test done at that point, and the vaccine was administered later. In the full version of the video, from 13:37 to 13:48 minutes, it can be seen how she is being tested for blood from a vein. From 13:56, she is already standing against the wall, putting a pad on her vein and starts complaining that he feels weak. At 14:18, the woman can no longer support herself and hits the door, after which she gets help. Only after that, at 15:48, the footage is shown where the mentioned person gets an injection.

As for the second case, we were able to the woman of color through pimeyes. Her name is Atinuke Aiyeniba, who is seen in the video feeling helpless as soon as she gets the needle. Since the side effects of vaccines take at least a few minutes to develop, it is unlikely that the reaction was caused by the vaccine and that the woman could be reacting to the needle prick in this way.

After Aiyeniba was ordered to sit down with her back against the wall, she was given two more shots, and in the original video, one of the soldiers can be heard promising her that the injections would be over soon.

As a photo released in March 2023 demonstrates, Atinuke Aiyeniba is doing well and is enlisted in the 144th Medical Detachment of the US Air Force.

Getting vaccines is a mandatory procedure for service personnel in the US military. The US Department of Defense has created a list of 17 vaccines, 9 of which are mandatory for all recruits prior to basic military training, and 8 of which are required by the country or region the soldier serves. The list of mandatory vaccines for everyone includes: adenovirus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, influenza (flu), measles (measles, rubella, mumps), Meningococcal; poliovirus, Tetanus-diphtheria, varicella. And the remaining 8 vaccines are: anthrax, Haemophilus influenzae type B, Japanese encephalitis, Pneumococcal, rabies, smallpox, typhoid fever, and yellow fever.
