On March 18, Facebook user <\/span>Zizi Tatishvili<\/span><\/a> shared a photo of the mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze. The photo was shared in 3 Georgian-language groups: “<\/span>Free_Misha<\/span><\/a>,” “<\/span>Supporters of the United National Movement<\/span><\/a>” and “<\/span>Let’s unite against the enemy and return Misha’s progress<\/span><\/a>!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Facebook user spreads a photo fabrication of Kaladze. In fact, the photo is altered and Kakha Kaladze’s face is manually inserted into it.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The photo which, according to the author, shows Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi, was verified using Yandex image search. With the help of the search engine, we found several photos, which show that Kakha Kaladze is not depicted on them, and the version distributed by a Georgian Facebook user has been altered.<\/span><\/p>\n

The authentic version of the photo can be found on various Russian-language websites discussing fashion and men’s clothing (<\/span>1<\/span><\/a>;<\/span>2<\/span><\/a>). In the altered photo, the background has been changed, as well as the color of the shirt, and the logo of the brand, Dolce&Gabbana, has been printed on it.<\/span><\/p>\n
