On December 22nd, 2022, the Facebook page of the Russian propaganda media Ukraina.ru published a photo of the cover of the French satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo.” The caricature depicts the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is running in the background of a Christmas scene with various things in his hands. According to the description, Zelenskyy steals Christmas. The cover features an inscription: “Stop complaining, I need more.”

The cover is dated December 22nd and is presented as a special issue.

The same cover of Charlie Hebdo was also published by Georgian-language Facebook accounts (1, 2) and the blog livejournal.com.

The disseminated caricature is fabricated. The latest issue of Charlie Hebdo was released on December 21st and is dedicated to the theme of the World Cup. Zelenskyy’s caricature cannot be found in any other issues of the magazine, including special issues. (enlightenedwomen.org)

Neither the “Charlie Hebdo” website nor the Twitter and Facebook pages of the magazine feature a similar cover of Zelenskyy. The disseminated caricature cover is dated December 22nd, although the latest issue of Charlie Hebdo was published on December 21st and concerned the World Cup.
