Information disseminated by Sputnik Ossetia about shots fired from Kobi village is a lie. Myth Detector, with the aim of verifying the information, contacted the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM). The EUMM replied that there was no such incident at the border of the occupational regime.

The Press and Public Relations Department of the European Union Monitoring Mission, in a comment with ‘Myth Detector’, denied that such an incident took place.

“We patrol 24/7 both at Abkhazian and the South Ossetian administrative borders and do not confirm that there has been any kind of shooting in these areas” – commented the EUMM.
