On May 30, 2023, Georgian-language Facebook accounts (1, 2) published a social media card, according to which “Tbilisi City Hall will reward every hundredth girl who walks without a bra for creating a positive mood.” The photo features the logo of the Georgian Public Broadcaster.

The information disseminated under the name of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) is false and satirical. Neither “First Channel” nor the Tbilisi City Hall did not spread the information, as if those who walked without a bra might be rewarded.

The mentioned information appears neither on the Facebook and Instagram pages of the GPB nor on the website of the outlet. In addition, the information that Tbilisi City Hall will reward every 100th woman walking without a bra is not found in other media either. The information was allegedly published for satirical purposes, but the comments on the posts show that users of the social network took it seriously.

As for the photo of a woman in a black swimsuit, it is available on platforms for commercial visual materials and can be purchased by anyone.
