On September 29th, a religious Facebook profile published a photo depicting Joe Biden taking the booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine with the following description: “False president is taking a false vaccine at the false television stage.”
The post manipulatively links the vaccine booster and the television scenery/background, calling them both fake. In fact, the background in front of which Biden publicly received the booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine is in one of the White House auditoriums, often used for media events. The background depicted on the image was not set up for this particular occasion; Biden also used it during the coronavirus global summit a few days ago.
The post by the religious acccount is manipulative because it calls both, the booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine and the background to which Biden was vaccinated, fake. The auditorium in which this shot was taken is the Eisenhower office building, though located separately, is a part of the White House complex. The auditorium is often used for hosting media events.
Public footage shows Biden giving a short speech, and then videos released by various media outlets show the booster dose being injected in Biden’s arm.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control supports the intake of the Pfizer booster dose for Americans over 65 who have health problems and are at high risk. The booster dose is currently only available to people who have been vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine at least 6 months ago. The post manipulatively links the booster dose with the background decoration, labeling both as “Fake.” Identical information was disseminated on the American sources as well. The Georgian post is allegedly a translation of a post published by the Instagram account “blazingpatriots.”
According to the fact-checking platform PolitiFact, one Facebook post claimed that the “fake scenery” was specially designed for Biden’s booster intake. PolitiFact marked the allegation as disinformation because, on September 22nd, Biden used the same background to deliver a speech during the global coronavirus online summit.
