On July 31, news agency Interpressnews published an article entitled  “Nino Burjanadze: America has sent us pumpers and water after the war in 2008“. Below the article, a sign NS is indicated, which denotes that the information is provided by the signatories. With the above mentioned sign, the editorial board publishes materials supplied by its subscribers without editing them and this service  is bankrolled by the party wishing to circulate the information, which was confirmed on the phone by IPN itself.  Nino Burjanadze, the leader of the “Democratic Movement”, in the funded editorial on  “Interpressnews”comments about the official opening of the military training exercise “Noble Partner 2017” conducted in Georgia with the participation of eight NATO member and partner countries. According to Burjanadze, current events threaten Georgia’s national security and United States has no means of helping Georgia in reality.

Burjanadze reiterates the message about “water and diapers” in the above-mentioned text, which claims that after the 2008 Russia-Georgia war, the US only dispatched “diapers and water” to Georgia.

Nino Burjanadze: “What did the United States do to help return Abkhazian and Samachablo territories to Georgian jurisdiction? Can someone name one fact, except them sending us diapers and water after the war.”

"

This assertion is disinformation as after the 2008 war, the US provided the largest amount of aid to Georgia – $ 1 billion, about which the “Myth Detector” wrote earlier.

"

Nino Burjanadze made a similar statement on July 14, 2015 on Kavkasia TV channel. In addition to Burjanadze, as MDF’s 2014-2015 study “anti-western propaganda” demonstrates, “Water and Diapers” messagebox was propagated at different times by distinct political players: Zaza Papuashvili – Georgian Dream, Goga Khaindrava – Director, online edition “Sakinform” and newspaper “Kviris Kronika” (“Alia” Holding) Journalists.
