On August 31st, 2021, Facebook user Irakli Lomidze published a video that claims that children are taken away from their parents in Australia to get the coronavirus vaccine. The beginning of the video includes scenes where a kid is being separated from an adult man by the police and medical staff. According to the author of the video, the COVID-pandemic is utilized to establish a new world order and control the world population.
As of September 1st, the post has accumulated 1300 views and 186 shares.
The claim that Australia carries out a forced vaccination of children is disinformation. The Australian police stated that the process showcased in the video has nothing to do with COVID-19, vaccination or testing.
The disseminated video became viral not only in Georgia but also in Foreign social media. Social media users accused the Australian Prime Minister of forcibly vaccinating people. The Victoria Police Department’s Twitter page issued a special statement saying that the incident had nothing to do with forced vaccination and that more details would not be disclosed to protect the privacy of the involved.
