According to German-language “sputnik”, Russians prefer “die sooner” to “live eternally”

German-language “Sputnik” published the results of study about life expectancy in European and Central Asian countries.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the average life expectancy of Russian men does not exceed 62.8 years which is the lowest value among 46 European and Central Asian Countries.

In purpose of explaining this, German – language Sputnik indicated several reasons: smoking and alcoholism as well as the fact that Russians “prefer to die sooner”.

“Sputnik” quoted the results of opinion poll conducted by Russian opinion research organization “Levada Center” according to which: 68% of Russian respondents stressed that they do not want to live “For all eternity”.
