A clickbait website, mypost.ru has published information with the title “Parents of adolescents below 18, a minimum aid of 1000 Gel per month”. The publication has a photo of Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze attached leaving the impression that the initiative belongs to the minister of health.

;

Mypost.ru’s title and attached photo of the minister of health is misleading. After following the link, we read, that the idea of financially aiding parents belongs to the opera singer Tamar Iveri.

After following Mypost.ru’s link, the main text depicts, that the quote displayed in the title is not the minister’s initiative, but is taken from a Facebook post of the opera singer, Tamar Iveri.

;

On February 11, it became known that in Kobuleti a 14-year-old girl committed suicide after falling victim of sexual assault.  The girl’s mother was an emigrant, Tamar Iveri responded to this fact and noted that going abroad to work should be banned to mothers of adolescents below 18 and they should receive the government’s financial support in Georgia. Tamar Iveri’s post had a huge response and was shared on various Facebook pages and media. Later on, Iveri deleted the original post due to critical backlash.

The IP address of the clickbait website mypost.ru is located in Germany, but the site’s domain is registered in the Russian registrator reg.ru.
