On February 5, clickbait sites geonewest.com, iswavle.com and football.ge disseminated information about an alleged resurrection of a young man with nearly identical titles: “A Procession Was Taking a Young Boy to Cemetery When He Unexpectedly Stood Up from the Coffin – See This Video that Will Shock You – the Video Already Has Millions of Views”. The information was based on a video, uploaded by a Facebook user Tsotne Tsetskhladze in 2020 and has been disseminated in various public Facebook groups.

;;;

The widespread footage is a videomanipulation, as it is taken from a movie. Therefore, the information about the resurrection of the young boy and him standing up in his coffin is false.

  • Actor or a resurrected boy?

The video, disseminated by Tsotne Tsetskhladze in 2020 on Facebook, shows that its source is mahmutman01, a TikTok user.

;

Currently, there is no such user on TikTok, but the same video, uploaded on January 12, 2020, is available on blackpanterq’s TikTok page.

;

Next day, the same user shared a video, showing how the same person lies down in the coffin several minutes before recording the video and how he is being prepared for the recording. The video comes with a caption that the previous video was removed by TikTok, so those who want, can watch the original version.

Another footage emerged on Tiktok on January 13, showing the same young man in the coffin, wearing different clothes, hugging the same woman – these is, most likely, the footage of the rehearsal.

;

In the end, the final, edited version, cut from the movie, was published by the same user on March 3, 2020. The footage is professionally taken from different angles and comes with music in the background. The post comes with a caption – “Opening the coffin”.

;;

It is also noteworthy that the video, which has also been disseminated in Georgia, clearly shows a camera for a brief moment, indicating that this is a movie, not a genuine procession.

;

  • Dissemination of the video

The video was initially uploaded on January 13, 2020 to his Facebook page by Tsotne Tsetskhladze. Later, the author explained in the comments to the post that this was actually taken from a movie.

;;

The video, published by several clickbait sites in February 2021 has been shared by several Facebook users in different public groups.

Saba Qurdovanidze, a Facebook user, shared the article by Footbal.ge, whereas the material by iswavle.com has been shared on a Facebook page „ბედნიერებასთან ახლოს.“ (Close to happiness.).

;

 As for geonewest.com, its article has been shared by accounts called Nika Beridze and Luka Lomidze – both most likely being fake accounts.

;;;

Luka Lomidze’s URL (mari lomidze) does not match the current name, and it also steals identities of Виталий Акмеев (Vitaly Akmeev) and Клим Калинин (Klim Kalinin).

;;;

;

The only identifying photo on Nika Beridze’s account is uploaded on January 5 (on the day of sharing the videos in the groups) and is frequently used by various users on Russian social network sites, with the earlier match being Михаил Авдеев (Mikhail Avdeev).
